ASL courses on tap

The NorCal Center on Deafness, South Lake Tahoe Outreach has scheduled two Community ASL Sign Language classes for people who want to learn the skill.

The first session is a 10-week class and meets from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 to April 25 at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. The fee is $25 and space must be reserved to attend a class.

The second 10-week session will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 26 to April 23 at the Employment Development Department conference room located in the Meyers Station log building off U.S. Highway 50 in Meyers. Participants are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch. The EDD office locks its door from noon to 1 p.m., so everyone should be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts.
