Assistance sought in Wells Fargo crime

Douglas County Sheriff’s investigators need help identifying a man who may have witnessed a crime at a Stateline automated teller machine last week.

Someone used the ATM card of Thomas Brunton Saturday morning to withdraw more than $300 from his Wells Fargo Bank account. Brunton, 72, of Stateline left his ATM card in the machine after he made a transaction.

The man shown in the photograph used the teller machine shortly after the crime occurred. Investigators say he drove from the bank in a white minivan.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call Investigator Ted Duzan at (775) 586-7255 or Secret Witness at (775) 586-7295.
