At Tahoe, thunderstorms through Wednesday then warming

LAKE TAHOE – While a chance of rain and thunderstorms are expected today through Wednesday at Lake Tahoe, temperatures are expected to rise by later in the week, according to the National Weather Service.

The unstable weather patterns that have kept temperatures cool will move out of the region by midweek, making way to warm temperatures and sunny skies, according to the weather service.

For today expect a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. with mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures near 57. Tonight expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m. It should be partly cloudy, with a low around 45. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.



On Monday there’s a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Expect mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 58. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph. On Monday there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 11 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.




Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Wednesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a high near 66.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.
