A brief live auction will take place at the close of the silent auction at the Riva Grill AIDS Benefit, which will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Aug. 29 at Riva Grill on the Lake.

“We’ve added a live auction to the event to allow for some lively bidding,” said Don Regis-Bilar of the Friends of Patrick Bennett, which produces the fund-raiser.

Among the featured items are a complete Web site valued at $2,000 offered by Phillips Business Solutions; a free-standing, to-code wood burning stove donated by Rudy’s Plumbing and Heating, also valued at $2,000; and a king-size handmade quilt made by Tammy Kirchubel with a value of $800.

“AIDS is a good cause and I am doing my best to be involved in and help the South Shore community,” Kirchubel said.

“Tammy puts a lot of heart and love into her quilts,” her husband, Gary Kirchubel added.

Tickets to the Riva Grill AIDS Benefit are $30 and are available at both chambers of commerce. For more information contact (530) 541-7720 or
