Austin’s House hosts annual Appeal for Kids campaign

Provided to the Tribune

Austin’s House, an emergency children’s shelter located near the Douglas County/Carson City border, has opened its 2013 Appeal for Kids.

The Appeal for Kids is a giving campaign to help sustain the 10-bedroom facility, which opened in September 2007. Austin’s House takes care of children in crisis who must be removed from their homes, according to a press release. Donations benefit the organization by helping with payroll to staff and paying for insurances, groceries and utilities. The facility hopes to raise $40,000 this year.

For information or to make a donation, contact Austin’s House at 775-267-6711 or visit http://www.austinshouse.org.
