Author Gurdip Hari shows the way to eternal bliss
November 9, 2005
Gurdip Hari will sign copies of his book, “The Conscious, Unconscious and Super-Conscious Mind,” from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Neighbors Bookstore, 4000 Lake Tahoe Blvd., in the Village Center.
This book is a study into the human mind, which has baffled historians, psychologists, and philosophers from time immemorial. Hari takes you on a journey through the conscious, unconscious and super-conscious mind, leading to our destination – super-consciousness. Step-by-step he unfolds the mysteries of life, providing a deep insight into religion, love and marriage. He explains why we are the way we are, why we behave the way we do, and how we can change ourselves and in turn our future generations, by living a purpose-driven life in the present moment, and making optimum use of our God-given talents, to be free from sickness, misery and unhappiness.
The author points out a major fact that on an average the human mind is 10 percent conscious and 90 percent unconscious. Due to this big gap we are being ruled by our unconsciousness, and the conscious part happens to be a silent spectator, a kind of captive with no free will. If you happen to be a 10 percent partner in a company you cannot make any major decisions, as the final word lies with the 90 percent shareholder. The author beautifully shows how to reduce this gap and balance ourselves through meditation, and by understanding and healing our inner child, and explains why ego is a major obstacle.
The 140-page book consists of seven chapters, and the final chapter being, “The Super-Conscious State,” which when attained, will change your entire conception of life and the world around you, as the ultimate truth of existence will dawn that we are all visitors on Earth, sent on a journey for evolution and growth, with a single entry visa having a fixed expiry date. This Earth is not our final place of rest; we are here momentarily, just to give our best, I belong to you, you belong to me, and love is the common bond to which we all belong. Life happens to be one big celebration, we are here to celebrate and enjoy our moment-to-moment existence, and this book shows the way that leads to eternal bliss.
