Provided to the Tribune

The Families For Effective Autism Treatment “Autism Benefit for Children Weekend” will include a golf tournament at Genoa Lakes Golf Course on Aug. 4 and then a dinner concert on Aug. 5 at Buffalo Creek Ranch in Gardnerville. David John and the Comstock Cowboys will provide entertainment.

The cost to participate in the “Buffalo Creek Invitational Golf Tournament – Benefiting FEAT” is $300 per person ($200 tax deductible). Sponsorships are available ($500 each) and organizers welcome any other assistance. The dinner concert event sold out last year. Entrance tickets for the dinner/concert will be $75 per person. Anyone wishing to buy tickets to the dinner concert, or who would like to sign up for the tournament or contribute in any other way, may call Wendi Fauria at (775) 782-4138 or go to the FEAT Web site at http://www.featofthecarsonvalley.org.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that one in 166 children suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder and 50 families a day receive the news that they have a loved one diagnosed with ASD.

For additional assistance contact Jill Niichel via e-mail at jniichel@metalast.com or (775) 782-8324.
