Special to the Tribune

Nancy Sizemore has been chosen by the Barton Hospital Auxiliary board as June volunteer of the month. Like other auxiliary volunteers, she enjoys the people she meets during her “work” days as well as the people she works with.

Sizemore has lived at South Lake Tahoe since 1993 and has volunteered with the auxiliary for 10 years. She has worked at the hospital’s front desk, in the gift shop, and for eight years has registered people for lab draws and flu shots.

Born in Waterloo, Iowa, Sizemore has a brother and five sisters.

She was an active member and held most offices in the Moline, Iowa, horticultural society for 25 years. She and her husband tour England and, closer to home, visit Las Vegas in winter. Sizemore plays bingo at the South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe-Douglas senior centers. She has served on the Tahoe-Douglas Board of Directors and has gone on several senior center-sponsored trips.

Volunteers are always needed at the hospital’s front desk, gift shop, Attic thrift store and other areas. Barton Hospital Auxiliary members welcome your participation.
