South Lake Tahoe natives Brianda Torres and Daniel Molina welcomed the South Shore’s first baby of 2015 on Thursday.

Jayden Daniel Molina was born at 3:06 p.m. weighing in at 7-pounds, 7-ounces and measured 18-inches-long.

Mother, father and Jayden’s 6-year-old brother Noe Torres were all born at Barton Hospital. Brianda and Daniel both grew up in South Lake Tahoe.

Noe sang “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” to his new sibling while Jayden slept.

Dr. Amanda Weavil oversaw the delivery. Barton Health provided a wagon filled with gifts for the family. Local businesspeople and Barton employees contributed $1,950 in baby supplies, toys and gift certificates.

The Barton Family Birthing Center is comprised of registered nurses, board certified obstetricians, family practice physicians and pediatricians. In 2014, 348 babies were delivered at Barton’s Family Birthing Center.
