Bar owners to get tips from police next week

William Ferchland

Attention bar owners, restaurant managers and liquor store clerks: a training session Monday and Tuesday will help you avoid trouble with the law.

An $80,000 grant from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department will help authorities crack down on a variety of infractions at alcohol establishments.

Training sessions at the Super 8 Motel’s conference room at 3300 Lake Tahoe Blvd. on Monday and Tuesday will help businesses understand what they should comply with, said Detective Josh Adler.

Monday will be the training for bars, restaurants and other on-sale businesses from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be the training for liquor stores.
