Barbecue benefits Glen Alpine Springs

Glen Alpine Springs is planning its second annual family barbecue. The event will begin at 2 p.m. Aug. 10 and continue until dark.

The cost is a $15 donation for adults and free for children 12 years of age and younger and participants can pay at the event. Dogs are welcome.

Included will be all-you-can-eat food and soft drinks, with beer and wine sold separately, beautiful scenery, crisp mountain air, music and dancing, horseshoe pitching and kid games and activities. Music will be provided by Blue Turtle Seduction, high altitude Bohemian tribal funk grass.



Access by walk in only from the U.S. Forest Service parking area at Lily Lake. Everyone should wear good hiking shoes and bring a flashlight.
