‘Bare Bones’ open mic

Provided to the Tribune

“Bare Bones” Open Mic Nights feature talents of all types from acoustic guitars, musical duos, stand-up comedy, spoken word and other performance art. Presented by the Lake Tahoe Writing Club, Open Mic Night starts at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Valhalla Grand Hall. Other performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 6 and Oct. 4.

Open Mic Nights are a great way to try out new material and talent. For people just wanting to be entertained without breaking the bank, the performances are free. If you don’t like the guy who is singing, not to worry, a new one will be up in 10 minutes.

Call ahead to be put on the performance list. Admission is free, but a $5 donation will be accepted. For additional information and tickets call April Sutton, director of performance events, at (530) 416-0337 or (530) 541-4975 or e-mail poetess120@yahoo.com.
