Barichievich completes Western States 100

Alan Barichievich of South Lake Tahoe completed the 100-mile Western States Endurance Run on Sunday in Auburn, Calif.

Barichievich, the lone South Shore entrant in one of oldest ultra trail races in the world, finished the race from Squaw Valley USA to Auburn in 25 hours, 46 minutes and 23 seconds and was 147th overall out of 328 who completed the task.

Geoff Roes was the first to finish in 15:07:04. Tracy Garneau was the top woman at 19:01:55.
