Barton blood drives celebrate 44 years

Provided to the Tribunearton Auxiliary members Pearl Parks (left) and Mike Kazarian are longtime blood drive volunteers who attend to and refresh donors after they have donated blood at the quarterly blood drives.

On June 7, Barton Health celebrated 44 years of blood drives by the Barton Hospital Auxiliary.

During the monthly blood drive with Sacramento Blood Source, who in June moved their blood donating operations from the Lake Tahoe Airport to the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library Rufus Allen Blvd., donors enjoyed a decorated cake and free pizza coupons.
