Barton donates computers

Barton Memorial Hospital recently donated 18 used computers, 13 used printers and 11 used monitors to ComputerCorps, a non-profit organization that refurbishes and upgrades used computers. ComputerCorp provides computers and training to individuals and community organizations at little or no cost, as well as building classroom/tech labs in rural communities. The programs designed by ComputerCorps include: the donor Program, the Volunteer Program, the Upgrade Program, the Recipient Program, the Training Program and the Fundraising Program. The mission of ComputerCorp is to improve the computer skills and job opportunities for individuals in the community. By providing these services to the community, ComputerCorp has kept more than 7,000 computers out of the landfills by recycling or refurbishing.
