Barton Foundation golf tournament on July 24

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE – The Barton Foundation’s 15th annual Golf Tournament will be held at Genoa Lakes – The Lakes Course in Genoa on Friday, July 24.

This is a chance to play golf with friends, enjoy a party and barbecue, and possibly win a free car.

The $175 per person entry fee, of which $100 is tax-deductible, includes green fees, cart, golfer amenity package, a barbecue lunch and no-host bar.

Registration and mulligan and raffle ticket sales begin at 6:45 a.m.

The scramble golf tournament starts at 8 a.m. Golfers will also have the opportunity to win a car with a hole-in-one, courtesy of Cardinale Way, as well as other prizes for hole-in-ones on additional holes.

Everyone will compete in the closest-to-the-hole and longest-drive competitions. Throughout the years, more than $400,000 has been raised from the golf tournament.

All proceeds help build Barton Foundation’s Endowment Fund. Endowment investment earnings have allowed the Barton Foundation to fund various hospital projects including construction of the helipad in 2001, support of the Hospice program, creation of the Health Resource Center in 2002, the purchase of automated external defibrillators for El Dorado and Douglas Counties, acquisition of Life-Line units for Hospice, and establishment of the hospital’s Healing Design program.

To register for this fun-filled day of golf, food, friendship and games, call (530) 543-5614 or go online to events. Search for Golf Tournament.
