Barton Foundation offers memorial wreath program
April 25, 2009
In honor of Memorial Day, the Barton Foundation is hosting a new program that allows you to memorialize a loved one.
The Foundation is building wreaths of ribbons which signify those we have loved and lost, for both the Carson Valley Medical Center and Barton Hospital.
Two wreaths of ribbons will be created and displayed throughout the year, one for each facility. The ribbons will be collected from those in the community who make a contribution to the Barton Foundation for the Hospice program.
Volunteers from the Hospice of the Lake and Valley will assemble the collected ribbons into lovely wreaths for display to honor those memorialized.
There will be a memorial ceremony and wreath dedication for the public on May 22 at both locations in the lobby at 11 a.m. with refreshments and social time following.
The proceeds from this program benefit the Hospice of the Lake and Valley. Suggested donation is $30 and loved ones names’ may be written on the ribbons before submitting them to the Foundation. Ribbons must be returned to the Foundation by May 8.
