Barton Hospital Foundation elected officers to serve through April 2006 at its recent annual meeting. Rich Belli, Barton Hospital facilities director, was elected chairman; Stacy Dingman, Harveys hotel manager, was voted vice chairman; and Michael Riley, investment executive with First Allied Securities, was confirmed as secretary/treasurer.

This slate is charged with the challenge of leading the board through changing times for the South Lake Tahoe market while focusing on the mission to maintain the highest level of health and wellness care in the communities served by the Barton HealthCare System facilities.

Barton Hospital Foundation now has an endowment fund of $1.4 million with another $1 million available for hospital support in the way of purchasing equipment, funding services and enhancing healthcare through the Barton HealthCare System. Many areas are funded throughout the year; however, the current priority funding is for the Healing Design Program that is transforming the hospital environment into a healing atmosphere for all.
