Barton Hospital Foundation is hosting its first-ever wine tasting auction on Thursday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Edgewood Tahoe. This elegant evening begins with wine tasting, courtesy of deLorimier Winery. A presentation on “Alcohol, Wine & Health” presented by Dr. Alfred deLorimier, emeritus professor surgery, UCSF and co-owner of deLorimier Winery & Vinyards, immediately follows.

The night ends with a fabulous wine auction with fine wines including: a 1993 magnum of Silver Oak Napa Valley; a 1990 Caymus Vineyards cabernet; a 1994 Dolce late harvest table wine; a 3L 1999 Arbios cabernet; and a 1992 Cuvee Dom Perignon vintage champagne, to name just a few.

Admission to this unique wine tasting auction is with a contribution of a fine wine (any size) or a $75 cash donation. Wine donated for admission must be valued at a minimum of $50 per bottle per person. These fine wines will then be auctioned later in the evening, with all proceeds to benefit the Barton Hospital Foundation’s Endowment Fund.

For those interested in attending, please call Margaret D’Ambra at (530) 543-5614. Reservations should be confirmed by Monday.
