Barton groups have new leaders

Barton Memorial Hospital volunteer leadership is headed by the auxiliary and the foundation. The auxiliary performs numerous hands-on tasks for the hospital including front desk and gift shop services to the management of the Attic Thrift Store. The president of the Barton Auxiliary this year is Dan Kerr, taking the lead role from immediate past president Carol Colford.

Barton Hospital Foundation heads up the fund-raising outreach to the community. Between special events and programs to the direct fund raising solicitation efforts, the 21-member volunteer board helps support Barton Hospital in its ongoing efforts to maintain a high quality of health care. This year’s new chairperson is Dena Schwarte, taking over the gavel from the past chair, Shari Chase.

For more information on either entity or to become involved with Barton Hospital volunteer programs contact Linda Thompson, director of public relations and foundation, at (530) 542-2945, Ext. 4.
