Barton Health welcomes new rheumatologist to South Shore

Arthritis sufferers won’t have to make the painful drive to Reno or Sacramento to have their rheumatoid arthritis treated.

Just think how nice it could be to play golf again or go fishing again without the gripping pain of arthritis in your hands, arms or shoulders.

Barton Health welcomes Dr. Jay Chung, a doctor of internal medicine with a specialty in rheumatology. Dr. Chung sees patients ages 14 years old and up and specializes in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, knee and shoulder problems, gout, vasculitis, systemic lupus erythematosis and more. He is board certified in rheumatology and is also accepting new internal medicine patients.

While there are more than 100 types of arthritis, many of them affect a patient’s mobility, their ability to do simple tasks such as open jars, tie their shoes, or even wash their hair.

Call (530) 543-5685 for an appointment. Chung’s office is at 2175 South Ave. Visit http://www.bartonhealth.org for more information.
