Barton University receives grant for nursing education

Staff reports

Barton University announced that Barton Health is the recipient of a California Employment Training Panel grant funded through the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This grant will total more than $400,000 in 2010 and is specifically for RN and LVN education for continuous improvement and medical skills training. This is a “pay for performance”-style grant, so Barton will be reimbursed for the training costs for RN and LVN employees who attend between 24 and 300 hours of applicable training through Barton University this year.
