BATS seeks volunteers

Provided to the Tribune

Bringing Art to Schools is looking for volunteers to become classroom helpers.

BATS, an all-volunteer program that provides art education and hands-on art activities to children in the elementary schools, visits each participating classroom five times per year to share fine art prints with children and guide them in related art projects.

Volunteers do not have to be an artist to help in the classroom. Training is provided. Samples of successful art projects are available for inspiration. Anyone who enjoys working with children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade is encouraged to volunteer. For more information, call BATS director Penny Fairfield at 541-1610.
