Beatles tribute band on tour; you know you should be glad
Wanna relive the British Invasion and the Sixties? All you need is love, and $20.
“When We Were Fab – A Tribute to the Beatles,” will be presented Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29 in the Celebrity Showroom at John Ascuaga’s Nugget.
“When We Were Fab” is a historical perspective of the turbulent era of the 1960s, with the centerpiece being a tribute to The Beatles. The show opens with a short video of the United States in the early Sixties: JFK, black and white television, the Kennedy-Nixon debates and the Beatles’ arrival in America. From there, the band takes the stage in their early, “Ed Sullivan” persona – all-black suits, playing classics such as “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “All My Loving,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” and “Love Me Do.” The retrospective, interactive show continues from there, chronicling the rest of the decade with video, multiple costume changes and performances of memorable Beatles tunes, including a set of Sgt. Pepper classics. The seamless set transitions and multi-media interactions produce an experience that is riveting, nostalgic and exciting.
The show starts both nights 8 p.m. Call (800) 648-1177 or (775) 356-3300 or visit janugget.com. Dinner and show packages are available.
