Betty Anne Westphal

Services will take place June 24 for Betty Anne Westphal, who died Feb. 8, 2006, under hospice care at the home of her son, Ron Westphal, in Calaveras County, Calif.

Betty was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Vallejo, Calif., and was a high school graduate. She had been a 19-year resident of South Lake Tahoe and Stateline. Betty was employed as a keno supervisor for 11 years at Caesars Tahoe and spoke often of her friends and co-workers, whom she held in high regard. She was a dedicated sports mom and was always “on board” for whatever her family wanted to do.

She loved to crochet and create needlework.



She is survived by her sons, Ben Westphal of Santa Cruz, Calif., Rod Westphal of Cortez, Colo., and Ron Westphal of Topaz, Nev.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy B. Westphal; and son, Michael Westphal.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Happy Homestead Cemetery.
