Bicycle Trail rehabilitation update

Construction began on the Class 1 Bicycle Trail Replacement project on July 14 has an anticipated completion date of Aug. 9.

Progress is moving along on the bike paths and they have undergone the “pulverization” phase and are entering the “paving” phase. The only potential delay on the project at this point is the cumaru decking for the bridges have not arrived from Brazil yet.

The Class 1 Bicycle Trail Rehabilitation project area runs parallel to Highway 50 from Los Angeles Avenue to Motel 6 and the Upper Truckee River (including bridges); one segment on Highway 50 from Helen Avenue to the South “Y” to include the following areas: Harrison Avenue (Los Angeles to Tulare), Rubicon to Tulare, Eloise to Ponderosa, Silver Dollar to Rubicon, and Helen Avenue to South Avenue and Linear Park.
