Bill Frank Ross

In loving memory of Bill Frank Ross who was born March 23, 1918, and passed away peacefully at his residence in South Lake Tahoe April 27, 2008.

Bill had just turned 90. Bill was born in Oregon, and was one of nine children. He married Velma Laurel Drake on June 28, 1942, in Bremerton, Wash. Bill then moved to Southern California in the mid 1940s and started his own drapery business. He moved to South Lake Tahoe with his family in 1979 where he became a part of the South Tahoe business community.

Bill loved Lake Tahoe, especially fishing it’s clear blue waters. He was an active member of the South Lake Tahoe Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and spent considerable time preaching and teaching Bible truths.



He is predeceased by his parents, Frank E. Ross and Marie McNeliegh of Ore.; his wife, Velma; and daughter, Susan. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lesley and Darrel Castruita; a son; his brother David; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial will take place 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1325 Herbert Ave., South Lake Tahoe, CA.
