Bingo benefits groups

The Blackhawk Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol and Lake Tahoe Elks Lodge will join forces to offer bingo to the public every Wednesday at the Elks Lodge on Elks Club Drive. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the game begins at 6 p.m. Bingo will start on Wednesday, June 20, and run until November 14 or until the snow flies, whichever comes first.

Proceeds will benefit the on-going programs of the Elks and the Blackhawk Squadron, which supports search and rescue, cadet programs, aerospace education and community service. The Elks Lodge supports youth sports and other local projects.

Bingo chairman and caller will be Patrick Reardon, who is a veteran caller and a member of both organizations. Each week, participants will have a chance to win cash prizes along with raffle prizes. Snacks and drinks can be purchased. Spouses and senior citizens over 70 years of age will receive a reduced rate.

On opening day, June 20, a door prize will be drawn and a special prize will be awarded to the oldest participant. Make Wednesday night your night out and join the Elks and the Blackhawk Squadron for a fun-filled evening.
