Bird class offered at Lake Tahoe Community college
If you’re curious about those feathered creatures flying around, you might want to enroll in a class at Lake Tahoe Community College.
Sheryl Ferguson will teach a course entitled “Birds of the Lake Tahoe Basin,” which will instruct students on how to bird-watch, identify birds and learn bird songs and calls. Sue Stevenson also will help teach the class.
The class begins May 20 and will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday until June 24. Students also will participate in three field trips, which will take place on some Saturdays from 8 to 11 a.m.
Interested students are encouraged to enroll online at ltcc.edu.
