Blood drive underway at Lake Tahoe Community College

A blood drive is underway at Lake Tahoe Community College.

Any members of the public wishing to donate blood can drop in from now until 3:30 p.m. today.

The blood drive was planned prior to Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas, according to Diane Lewis, director of marketing and communications at LTCC.

The tragic events in Las Vegas make the blood drive that much more pertinent, Lewis agreed.

Those donating blood can request that their donation go specifically to Las Vegas. Drop-ins are welcomed, as appointments are not being accepted.

The blood drive is taking place in the library building on the LTCC campus, located at One College Drive in South Lake Tahoe.
