Saturday Feb. 9
3 p.m., Heavenly Ski Resort, South Lake Tahoe — battery. Amid crowded lift lines at the Tamarack Chair Lift, Derek Johnson, 34, volunteered to fill up the six-pack chair. John Turner, 53, wouldn’t let Johnson pass and a fight ensued between the two, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department said. No injuries were reported except Johnson said a tooth was loose, deputies said.
Wednesday Feb. 13
11:39 a.m., 1200 block of Wildwood Avenue, South Lake Tahoe — auto burglary. Fifty compact discs and an Alpine stereo faceplate, worth a total of $1,125, were stolen from a 1998 Toyota Tacoma when unknown suspects broke the passenger-side cab window to unlock a truck door, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department said.
3:11 p.m., 1000 block of Marjorie Street, South Lake Tahoe — burglary. Unknown suspects used an unlocked front door to gain entry to a residence and stole a bracelet, Playstation and Nintendo Gamecube video game systems and games and videocassette recorder movies worth a total of $865, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department said.
