The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.

Sunday May 12

2:52 p.m., 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd., South Lake Tahoe — brandishing. Miguel Caro, 22, was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a knife with a 5-inch blade at a 15-year-old in the skate changing area of the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department reported.

8:27 p.m., Rufus Allen and Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe — traffic collision. Aaron Lynfoot, 20, was distracted by a spider in his 1989 Isuzu Trooper and he crashed into the back of a 2000 Dodge pickup driven by Rafael Elias, 46, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department reported. Elias and his passenger complained of neck injuries and were taken to Barton Memorial Hospital while Lynfoot received a bloody nose.
