The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.
Thursday Aug. 23
11:26 p.m., 800 block of San Francisco Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – providing alcohol to minors. Police broke up a party where about 75 to 100 teen-agers were drinking alcohol. An officer ticketed Justin Beede, 18, for hosting the party.
8:20 p.m., Eagle Lake Trailhead, Desolation Wilderness – search and rescue. Two men stuck on a cliff required an all-night rescue. El Dorado County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit worked from about 9 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. to get to safety Son Ly, 25, of Loma Linda, Calif., and Tony Nguyen, 25, of Piscataway, N.J.
Friday Aug. 24
5:29 a.m., 100 block of Lake Parkway, South Lake Tahoe – car burglary. A tool box, air compressor and a fire extinguisher were stolen from an unlocked Jeep. Police said the items were worth $68. Rick Shaar, 59, of South Lake Tahoe, owns the Jeep.
9:20 p.m., Kahle Drive, Stateline – fire. A shed caught fire behind a home at Lakeshore Mobile Home Park. Firefighters from Tahoe-Douglas Fire Protection District put out the blaze before it ignited the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
8:10 p.m., Eagle Lake Trailhead, Desolation Wilderness – search and rescue. A man dehydrated and suffering with muscle cramps was rescued from an area between Eagle Lake Trail and the Velma Lakes. Two volunteers from El Dorado County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit hiked in and found Christopher Yturri, 36, of Fairfield, Calif. They gave him food and water and spent the night with him. Yturri was able to hike out Saturday morning.
Saturday Aug. 25
7 a.m., 500 block of Emerald Bay Road, South Lake Tahoe – burglary. Someone entered a home on Friday and stole an $800 floor safe. It contained a large quantity of cash, $1,100 worth of jewelry and a cell phone. The crime occurred between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Greg Miller, 43, owned the safe, police said.
Sunday Aug. 26
2:10 p.m., Heavenly Valley Trailer Park on Blackwood Road, South Lake Tahoe – fire. South Lake Tahoe firefighters extinguished a pile of mattresses that caught fire outside a mobile home. The blaze was controlled by 2:20 p.m.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lifted regional stay-at-home orders across the state Monday in response to improving coronavirus conditions, returning the state to a system of county-by-county restrictions, state health officials announced.
