The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.

Saturday Aug. 18

7:30 a.m., 1700 block of Meadow Vale Drive, Meyers – car burglary. Goods worth more than $2,300 – including 100 compact discs, two nail guns and a power converter – were stolen from a black Chevrolet pickup. The owner, 28-year-old Andrew Weinstein, told an El Dorado County sheriff’s deputy that he locked and set an alarm on his truck. A rear, sliding window on the pickup had been pried open, a deputy said.



Sunday Aug. 19

2:19 p.m., Emerald Bay Road, south of Kyburz Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – traffic accident. A tan Buick driven by Robert Reihs of San Leandro, Calif., was rear-ended by a white pickup towing a trailer. Dave Fellhoelter, 35, of Whittier, Calif., told police his trailer did not have adequate brakes.
