The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.
Saturday Aug. 4
11:50 p.m., Caesars Tahoe, parking lot B, Stateline – assault with a deadly weapon. A unidentified man came after Jasraj Singh with a buck knife after he and Singh got into an argument in a Caesars parking lot. Singh had stopped his car to allow another car to back out of a parking space. While Singh, 28, of Castic, Calif., was stopped, the unidentified man drove past on a motorcycle and the argument ensued. The man spat on Singh’s window and later slammed Singh’s car door on Singh’s foot. Douglas County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the incident.
Sunday Aug. 5
4:35 a.m., Horizon Casino Resort, Stateline -underage gambling. A security guard spotted Francisco Raya playing slots. Raya presented the guard with what looked like a resident alien card that said Raya was 20.
Monday Aug. 12
12:50 a.m., Ski Run Boulevard and Pioneer Trail, South Lake Tahoe – minor consuming alcohol. An officer on patrol stopped 20-year-old Neil Morris while he was riding his bike. Police said Morris was riding along with a bottle of beer in his hand. Morris threw the bottle as the officer approached in his car. Morris got a ticket for the offense.
4:25 a.m., 2100 block of South Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – assault with deadly weapon, robbery. Edward Silva told police he was beaten and had $50 stolen from his wallet by three men. He said the attack occurred near Tahoe Tom’s, a gas station at Park Avenue and U.S. Highway 50. Silva was treated at Barton Memorial for cuts on his right shoulder and forearm and a sprained ankle. He said his attackers were white males, age 20 to 25. One man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds, with a shaved head and tattoos on his chest and forearm. The second suspect was 6 feet tall, 220 pounds, slicked back black hair. Third man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds with a shaved head. All of the men were riding in a newer model black Ford Explorer before they jumped out attacked Silva, police said.
10:30 a.m., 3600 block of Spruce Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – lewd conduct. Police arrested Ruben Farias, 21, on suspicion of exposing his genitals to neighbors, disturbing the peace and having an open beer in his red jeep.
