The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.

Sunday July 29

9:42 a.m., 2700 block of U.S. Highway 50, South Lake Tahoe – stolen car. A stolen 1991 Toyota Camry was left in the parking lot of Chapel of the Bells on July 22. The owners of the chapel did not report the car to police until Sunday because they believed it belonged to a client. Police said the Camry was left unlocked in the parking lot and is registered to Shirley Desantia from Sacramento.

Secret Witness offers cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to the arrest and conviction of crime suspects. Anyone with information about crimes reported in California is asked to call (530) 541-6800. In Nevada, call (775) 586-7295.
