The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.

Tuesday July 17

3:04 a.m., 2900 block of Sacramento Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – grand theft. A $1,500 BMX bicycle was stolen after it was left unlocked for several days in front of a house.

7:23 a.m., 800 block of Clement Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – domestic violence. Police arrested David Thomas, 28, of South Lake Tahoe, on suspicion of beating a woman. The woman told police that he was angry with her for tossing and turning in bed. He also accused her of having an affair. She said he pushed her into a car, slapped her face and put her in a headlock. Police said Thomas did not deny attacking the woman.

Wednesday July 18

4 a.m., 2100 South Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – drunk in public. Michael Goodno, 50, was arrested at Barton Memorial Hospital after employees called police saying he was extremely intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Paramedics from Tahoe-Douglas Ambulance brought Goodno to Barton after they found him drunk, suicidal and uncooperative on a street off Kingsbury Grade.
