5 p.m. – Zephyr Cove Lodge Beach – indecent exposure, resisting arrest. Douglas County sheriff’s deputies responded to the beach area of Zephyr Cove Resort on a report of a group of males exposing themselves to beach patrons. While deputies were interviewing witnesses one of the suspects, Samuel Vanderpool, 21, of Lodi walked down the beach. Officers called out to him and he began to flee, hoisting a beer in a mock toast to onlookers and pulling down his pants as he ran. Deputies pursued Vanderpool on foot and two civilian males tackled him. After an ensuing struggle, deputies arrested Vanderpool and transported him to Lake Jail.
