The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.

Tuesday May 15

9:03 a.m., 800 block of James Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – car burglary. A backpack that contained more than $1,000 worth of camera equipment and clothes was stolen from a 1992 blue Honda Accord. A 25-year-old man told police he left his car unlocked Monday night.



4:19 p.m., 500 block of Glorene Avenue, South Lake Tahoe – car burglary. More than $480 worth of tools were stolen from a pickup with an unlocked camper shell sometime Monday night. The owner noticed the loss when a tool box dropped out of his truck on Emerald Bay Road. The thief apparently left the man’s tailgate open. The owner reportedly told police his initials and fluorescent paint are on each tool.
