The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.

Sunday May 13

7:56 a.m., 3rd Street and U. S. Highway 50, South Lake Tahoe – possession of a controlled substance. Police arrested Paul Evangelinos, 39, of South Lake Tahoe, after they reportedly found a crank pipe in the bed of his green Ford pickup. Officers searched his truck because Evangelinos was on probation. They found the paraphernalia in a flashlight case that was inside a red canvas bag.

Monday May 14

6:43 a.m., 1000 block of Glen Road, South Lake Tahoe – burglary. A thief broke into a home and stole $160 in cash from a purse. Police said someone pried open the woman’s locked bedroom door. Nothing was missing from the room, but the thief found her purse in a downstairs room.

7:55 p.m., Wildwood Avenue and Stewart Way, South Lake Tahoe – domestic violence. Dawn Lawry, a 32-year-old transient, allegedly threw something at a man that scratched his face. Police arrested her for battery. The 25-year-old man reportedly told police that he and Lawry came to town on a bus not long ago. He said they were drinking when the incident occurred.
