The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.
Wednesday, April 25
12:56 a.m., Emerald Bay Road just north of city limits – car theft arrest. Police were on the lookout for a 1994 green Ford Thunderbird early Wednesday morning. Placer County Sheriff’s Department informed them it had been reported stolen in Sparks, Nev., and that it should be heading southbound on State Route 89. Police stopped the car and found three teen-age boys, a 16-year-old from Sparks and two 17-year-olds from Reno, inside. All three juveniles were ticketed and released to their parents.
