The following incidents were selected from among those reported to area law enforcement and fire protection districts.

Sunday Jan. 27

10 a.m., Heavenly Ski Resort, South Lake Tahoe — burglary. A man posing as a resort employee stole $900 Rossignol Bandits skis and boots when he rented the gear and never returned the equipment, the El Dorado Sheriff’s Department said.

12 a.m., 392 Kingsbury Grade, Stateline — break-in. A sliding glass door that leads to the Chart House, a restaurant, was pried open overnight Saturday. The restaurant’s alarm was cut, but nothing appeared to have been stolen, said Douglas County sheriff’s investigators. The break-in occurred between midnight and 9 a.m.
