The Valhalla Arts & Music Festival continues this week with two concerts featuring local performers Blue Turtle Seduction today and The Black Bear Pipe Band Thursday with the animation favorite “Ice Age” as the Wednesday Night Movie.

Blue Turtle Seduction plays an array of instruments ranging from standard to the eclectic. The combination of the number of instruments with three vocalists and original, playful and pivotal song writing has the Blue Turtle buzz spreading throughout California. The band has been making a name for itself through its unique approach to the “jam-grass” music scene. The band grabs elements from various roots music that is defined through bluegrass, mountain-reggae, world music, organic hip-hop and funk.

Concerts, movies and plays are performed at the Valhalla Boathouse Theater situated on the shore of Lake Tahoe, three miles north of the “Y” on Highway 89 just past Camp Richardson. Ticket prices for concerts are $14, $12 in advance, plays are $17, $15 in advance. For a more complete festival schedule, more information or advanced ticket sales contact the Tahoe Tallac Association at (530) 541-4975 or visit http://www.valhalla-tallac.com.
