BlueGO goes to the fair

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE – The BlueGO bus system will provide service from the South Shore to the El Dorado County Fair in Placerville from June 18 to June 21.

A special bus route, Route 65, will run from Kingsbury Transit Center to the Green Gate at the El Dorado County Fair with stops along Highway 50 at all BlueGO stops, including Stateline Transit Center, Visitor Center, South “Y” Transit Station and Lira’s Supermarket.

Three round trips from Stateline, South Lake Tahoe and Meyers will operate during fair days, departing South Lake Tahoe and Stateline area at 10:40 a.m., 4:40 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 8:40 p.m. Departure from Placerville is at 12:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 12:15 a.m. and Sunday at 10:15 p.m.



A BlueGO Day GOPass is $9 general fare for 18- to 59-year-olds, or $6 for discount riders, who also receive a $1 discount off fair admission. One-way fares are $4 for general fare and $2 for discount riders. Two tokens will also be accepted. Those who have a local Day GO Pass can upgrade for an additional $2, or an additional token.

Free parking is available at the Kingsbury Transit Center, Horizon Casino Resort, South “Y” Center next to the South “Y” Transit Station, Lake Tahoe Airport, Lira’s and Tahoe Paradise Golf Course in Meyers. Paid parking is available at Stateline Transit Center off Bellamy Court.
