The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office dive team has recovered the body of a man who was spotted in Lake Tahoe near the Tahoe Queen today.

Divers pulled the body from the water at about 12:30 p.m.

The body was spotted in about 10 feet of water earlier this morning, said Police Lt. Marty Hale.

Divers examined the area where the man was found and pulled his body onshore. Sheriff’s deputies and South Lake Tahoe police then examined the body before staff from McFarlane Mortuary took it away.

Details regarding the identity of the man and possible manner of death are not yet available, Hale said.
