Body of man found at Brockway Summit

Hikers discovered a dead man in the Brockway Summit area of North Lake Tahoe Saturday afternoon.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Department said the cause of death of the 46-year-old man, whose name is being withheld pending next of kin notification, is suspicious.

No more information will be released until the results of an autopsy are known.



According to reports, there is no evidence suggesting suicide.

The man was discovered dead in a vehicle parked off Martis Peak Road by a group of hikers at about 3 p.m.
