An 18-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman was found floating in Lake Tahoe Friday morning, authorities said.

Deyana Loranca, a 2007 graduate of South Tahoe High School, was discovered sometime after 4 a.m., early Friday morning according to South Lake Tahoe Police.

Attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

Police believe the death was accidental but are treating it as suspicious pending an autopsy.

Friends spoke of the young woman as a kind, generous person who would help anyone in need. They said she had recently gotten a job and planned to attend college soon.
