Boil water order lifted for Stateline, Kingsbury

STATELINE – Late Wednesday the Nevada Bureau of Safe Drinking Water released the boil water order affecting the Kingsbury General Improvement District water system after two days of bacteriological tests came back clear.

The order was issued by the State of Nevada on July 27 after KGID reported a leak that allowed a trace amount of groundwater to enter the water system.

The leak was repaired the following day and the water system was purged of any remaining groundwater over the weekend. Two days of testing was required before the boil water order could be released.

KGID provides water service to the Kingsbury Grade area, Lake Village, Nevada Beach and the Highway 50 and Kahle Drive areas of Stateline. The casino corridor was never affected by the order.
