Bones found in northeast Douglas County identified as human

The bones that were discovered in the northeast backcountry area of Douglas County on Wednesday have been identified as human, according to a Thursday statement from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The identity of the decedent is unknown. The investigation is continuing, according to the statement.
