The Literature at Lunch Book Club will discuss Sujata Massey’s novel, “Pearl Diver,” at the June 14 meeting at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library. The community is welcome to join in the discussion of this seventh mystery by Massey, an Agatha and Macavity award-winning author.

Kidnapping, death and intrigue are all in store for Rei Shimura, a half-American, half-Japanese antique dealer and part-time detective living in Washington D.C. Preparing for her upcoming wedding to her Scottish fiance, Hugh, she invites Aunt Norie from Japan to help with preparations. Cross-cultural misunderstandings and prejudices add problems to the riveting story line.

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library is located at 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. For additional information call (530) 573-3185.
